My review on Korean Hanja Certification (Grade 3)

1. Korean Hanja Certification

In Korea, many people study Hanja (Chinese characters). For them, some institutes hold examinations and gave certifications. Many institutes do that, but only 8 institutes can give Government Hanja Certification. One of those is 'The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI)'. its test has only multiple choice questions. So, many people take its test to get Government Hanja Certification.

 

Usually, there are 8 grades in Korea Hanja certification. Grade 1 is very difficult and Grade 8 is too easy. And, Only grade 1, 2, and 3 can be certificated by the government.

2. My review on Korean Hanja Certification (Grade 3)

I decided to try KCCI's test because I can take the test all day. The other institutes' tests are held on a typical day. And, I select grade 3 because it is government certification and not so hard. I apply for the test inFebruary 2022.

Before the test, I solved some exercise questions. And, I think it is normal for me. So, I doesn't study anymore and went to take the test.

I took the test in March 2022. The level of the problem is not so hard. Testing time was 1 hour. But I solve all problems in 30 minutes and check the answer twice in 20 minutes. After the test, I felt that I passed.

The next day, I checked my score. I passed the test as expected. I got Hanja 152 scores, word 210 scores, and reading 296 scores. Total 658 scores. The passing score is 576. So I breezed through the test and I got Korean Hanja Certification Grade 3!!!
